MATERIAL AND APPEARANCE
A Black Decorative Surface with Project-Specific Detailing
Black artificial marble creates contrast with light cabinetry, timber and metal finishes. Depending on the selected colour, the surface can show fine bright flecks or larger contrasting marble patterns. For repeated hotel rooms or adjoining wall panels, agree the acceptable background tone, pattern scale and finish before placing the order.
Specify an artificial marble sheet by its composition and thickness. Marble-based engineered stone, quartz slabs, sintered stone and decorative PVC panels are different products. When comparing quotations for artificial marble stone, check the actual material specification as well as the appearance.

APPLICATION PLANNING
Interior Application Scenarios
01
Interior feature walls and artificial stone cladding
Plan panel divisions, corner returns, outlet positions and the visible pattern. Confirm the substrate, panel weight and fixing approach before fabrication.
02
Kitchen and pantry backsplashes
Specify height, seams, exposed edges and socket openings. Review heat exposure and appliance clearances before selecting material behind a hob or range.
03
Bathroom vanities and hotel interiors
Coordinate basin templates, faucet holes, splashbacks and sealed joints. Wet-area panels require an appropriate waterproof backing system.
04
Reception desks, retail displays and furniture faces
Define the visible faces, edge details, corner construction and access openings. Group repeated pieces by drawing or room number.
CUT TO THE APPROVED DRAWING
Custom Sizes, Edges and Openings
01
Dimensions and panel layout
Supply a dimensioned cutting list, quantities and the orientation of each visible panel.
02
Edges and returns
Specify eased or bevelled edges, mitred returns and the required visible edge height. A built-up edge is separate from the actual slab thickness.
03
Openings and fittings
Provide approved basin templates, faucet-hole centres, electrical outlet details and corner notches.
04
Finish and colour selection
Approve a physical finish sample and current slab images. Identify which pieces will be installed beside one another.
BEFORE CONFIRMING PRODUCTION
Material Approval and Installation Coordination
01
Approve the visible finish
Review the black background, pattern, gloss or honed appearance under project lighting. Keep an approved sample for the order and inspect adjoining pieces together before installation.
02
Confirm the panel system
The cladding panel forms part of a complete assembly. Confirm the substrate, compatible adhesive, any mechanical support and joint layout with the installer. Request product-specific technical data where the project requires it.
03
Agree the quotation scope
Send sizes, thickness, quantities, finish, fabrication details and destination. The quotation should identify material, processing, packing and delivery terms. Confirm MOQ, sample charges and production time against the selected colour and order scope.
YALITONG STONE / PROJECT ENQUIRIES
Request a Black Artificial Marble Quote
Send your colour reference, slab or panel sizes, thickness, quantity, intended application and destination port for a project quotation.
1. Are Ethnic Black and Athens Black the same artificial marble?
These names alone are not enough to confirm an identical product. Send the colour code and a clear reference image or sample. Confirm the selected formulation, pattern and finish on the quotation rather than ordering by a trade name alone.
2. Is an artificial stone sheet the same as a PVC marble wall panel?
No. The material described here is a marble-based engineered slab for stone fabrication. The term artificial stone sheet is broad, so specify composition and thickness when comparing it with thin decorative PVC panels, quartz surfaces or sintered stone.
3. Can I use an engineered marble backsplash behind a cooker?
Suitability depends on the selected material, heat exposure and appliance clearances. Confirm the product's temperature limits before specifying an engineered marble backsplash behind a hob or range. Keep it away from direct flame and use a suitable heat-resistant surface where the design requires one.
4. Is this material suitable for artificial stone exterior walls?
This page is specified for interior applications. For artificial stone exterior walls, obtain written suitability confirmation for the exact formulation, supported by relevant weathering and UV information and a reviewed fixing system. Interior slab availability does not establish exterior suitability.
5. How should black engineered marble be cleaned?
Use a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for marble-based engineered stone and a soft cloth. Rinse away residue and dry the surface to reduce visible water marks. Avoid acidic or abrasive products and remove spills promptly. Follow the supplied finish-specific care instructions, including any protection treatment.
6. Can you supply custom panels, edges and openings?
Yes. Send approved drawings showing length, width, thickness, finished edges and opening positions. Material availability, panel size and fabrication details are reviewed before confirmation. For patterned panels, agree the piece sequence and seam layout; matching does not make joints invisible.
7. What are the MOQ, sample arrangements and lead time?
These are confirmed for the selected colour, size, finish and fabrication scope. Advise whether you need full slabs or finished panels, quantities by size and your delivery deadline. Ask for sample charges, production lead time, packing details and shipping transit to be identified separately.
